ABOUT US

The Doddridge County Economic Development Authority is looking for potential partners who own land in Doddridge County and are seeking to develop that land for Commercial, single family or multi-family residential use. Likewise, we are looking for Developers seeking new investment opportunities in north central West Virginia.

Route 50 bisects Doddridge County and is a major east-west thoroughfare in West Virginia. It is located just 20 minutes from the intersection of I-79/Route 50 in Clarksburg/Bridgeport and 40 minutes from I-77 in Parkersburg.

The Doddridge County EDA and Citynet recently partnered to expand broadband throughout the county. With over $14 million committed to this partnership, every home in the county will have access to fast and reliable internet. Some residents are already receiving service.

 

Doddridge County has invested over $100 Million in the last 20 years in building new facilities. Doddridge has the newest and best high school athletic complex in the state and recently opened the new Early Learning Academy. A state-of-the-art Career and Technical Education facility on the high school campus opened in 2020 focusing on vocational studies. 

 

Doddridge County PSD has completed several miles of water line expansion in the last two (3) years and has fully funded projects to launch that will add over eight (15) more miles of water line to the county. West Union, the county seat, also provides water and sewer to businesses and residents inside city limits. 

Doddridge County Parks has completed over $4M in upgrades to its park system with the addition of a campground, complete renovation to its pool complex and overall upgrades to all facilities.
